Cider Days to Return to Lakewood for Cider Tasting, Two-day Celebration
In Lakewood, Cider Days has been a tradition for the longest time. It attracts hundreds of locals each year who come to take in the culture, history, music, and gastronomy. Since apple trees were so prevalent in the region in the early 20th century, one hill became known as "Cider Hill," giving the event its name. Midway through the 1970s, a local historical group organized a lunchtime program called Lakewood Cider Days, where they showed off ancient agricultural equipment. Visitors to the festival can also bring apples (or purchase them there) and produce fresh apple cider on antique presses to take home. Vendors at this yearly event serve cider by the glass or gallon. The area's premier autumn celebration of its agricultural heritage, Lakewood Cider Days, returns to Heritage Lakewood Belmar Park for its 46th year. Guests can explore exhibitor booths, purchase handmade goods, and sample more than 20 different apple-themed products, including Colorado apple cider.
